Not particularly enjoyable having to stand in the pouring rain, along the street, waiting for the buss. You'd think something could be done to permit and erect a modest, protected stop, but I'd figure that would just fill up w homeless folks.

I booked the wrong date by accident and then when I try to change the date it wouldnt let me because it was saying that I wouldn't be able to since it was less then 3hrs before boarding

Both journeys to and from Union Station, WA to NYC had their issues. There is no where to stand when it's pouring rain outside so we were all wet and cold on our 5 1/2 hr bus ride. All of my clothes were sopping wet in my bag as well. On my return from WA to NYC, the bus had to changed so we waited an extra 30 mins to board, then we sat on the bus at a corner for 10 - 15 mins b/c someone was parked on the street and the driver didn't think he could get through. Then when he drove he kept jamming on the brakes all the way to the change over. We were driving at 1/2 the speed of the other vehicles. We got back 2 hrs late. I WILL NEVER TAKE MEGABUS AGAIN. And I will definitely share my experience.

What are Megabus buses like?

Megabus buses are usually branded double-deckers, equipped with standard seats, power outlets, Wi-Fi (on most routes), reclining seats, panoramic windows, air conditioning and clean bathrooms. You can choose to sit either on the top or bottom part of the bus, as you select your seats while booking your tickets.

What is Megabus's luggage policy?

Passengers can bring one large piece of luggage per ticket, as long as it's within 62 inches (length + width + height) and doesn't weigh more than 50 pounds. Each traveler is also allowed one small carry-on that fits in the overhead or under the seat.

Can passengers travel with bicycles, skis, snowboards, golf clubs, or musical instruments?

No, travelers are not allowed to bring bicycles, skis, snowboards, golf clubs, or musical instruments on Megabus, unless they are in a case that fits within the luggage policy dimensions.

Can Megabus tickets be exchanged?

While Megabus does offer an exchange policy for reservation adjustments, it comes with some drawbacks. Making changes online is possible, but only if you have more than 3 hours before your scheduled departure. Additionally, there are trade-in fees ranging from $3.00 to $7.50, depending on how close it is to the departure time. Moreover, there's a $2.99 new reservation fee (or $7 by phone) for changed reservations, which can add up. So, while you have some flexibility, be prepared to handle a few fees along the way. There are no refunds.

Do children pay a ticket to travel on Megabus?
