Trans Emperador User Reviews
Trans Emperador receives praise for its friendly staff and scenic routes. Many users found the buses reasonably clean, comfortable, and safe with helpful drivers assisting with luggage. However, some reviews mention occasional delays due to unscheduled stops or platform confusion. Despite these minor issues, most trips adhered closely to scheduled times.
Our trip on Trans Emperador from Sucre to Potosi was fine. We left and arrived very close to the scheduled times. The bus was reasonably clean and the driver was helpful with our luggage.

Bus left the bus station on time but then drove 5 minutes down the road and parked for 45 minutes to fill the rest of the bus up, which ment we arrived 30 minutes late to Sucre. Halfway through the bus ride a number of street sellers got on to sell food and drinks to everyone, seems like fairly standard practice in Bolivia. Weirder than that though was that for the second half of the trip there was a guy standing at the front of the bus as if he was a tour guide but I think trying to rope people into a MLM scheme. Most seats seemed to be stuck in the mostly reclined position.

The bus left slightly late but arrived on time. It did stop quite a lot on the way to pick up and drop off passengers. People were assigned the same seats, which caused some confusion. The bus also didn't leave from the correct platform. Otherwise, the bus was generally comfortable and the driving was safe.

They overbooked the bus and didn’t want to let us on. I insisted as we had a connection bus from Potosí and eventually they gave us seats. About 30min in they told us we had to move to the seats at the back of the bus because they’d done us a favour by letting us on - the seats at the back of the bus are almost half the size…
