Trains from Toronto to Quebec City

The seats were comfortable. The space was clam. The staff kind. Only downside, we were late.

The train was 1,5 hours late to Montreal wich meant that we missed the train to Quebec and we arrived 4 hours late!

The experience was good. Staff was very helpful and friendly at all times. The TO - OTTAWA trip was delayed for approximately 30 minutes but they handled it very well they ensured passengers were updated on the status of the connecting Train to QBC . The only thing I didn’t like from the get-go was the fact that they made it very clear tickets were non refundable, non exchangeable, non transferable, and VIA Rail reserves right to cancel trips for anything they see fit. I think that’s very drastic and outrageous given the value of those tickets for a round trip. I almost wasn’t able to make it and easily could’ve given it to a friend of mine should the tickets be transferrable. Like something has to give. I would happily buy the tickets again if it wasn’t for those stated facts above. I couldn’t take the risk again. I was even nervous because if we were not able to make the connection in time with the Ottawa train, how would we had gotten to QBC?! And they could easily then clean their hands of any responsibility and pocket the rest of the value because of these fine prints. That’s not fair. And I don’t see any excuse for those type of draconian regulations with people’s hard earned money. Other than that, no complaints at all. But next time I am flying despite the fact I loved the scenery. Train ride is absolutely worthy! But, what if?!
