Excellent service from Puerto Escondido to Oaxaca. The bus station was easy to find and the inside clearly marked with a digital departure board. There were 2 small concession stands to buy snacks. The bus was clean and modern with well organised boarding and security check. Seating was comfortable for this 3 hour journey and water and headphones for the entertainment. Internet was spotty but simply because coverage even on your phone is sometimes poor in less populated areas. Our journey was delayed by about 15 minutes due to the ongoing works but otherwise everything was as expected. Arrival in Oaxaca was good with rapid luggage unloading.

It was really really cold , I check the ac at the way out and it was 21 degrees... we were freezing inside the bus for 3 hours

ADO is running a dishonest business. They emailed passengers 1 hour before departure that the route changed due to "logistical reasons" and would be 9 hours instead of 3. The email directed customers to call a phone number to cancel. When called, the phone agent said they do not provide this service and we would have to physically go to the terminal and present identification just to cancel. No refunds. Just credit. We learned that ADO has not been allowed to take the new highway for the 3 hour route because local villages do not allow them to pass. How can this business continue selling tickets advertising a 3 hour route when they know full well the route will be 9 hours?
