The bus trip itself was great; very comfortable. Once again, the passenger area was far too cold. The driver fixed this when I told him. Why did the bus drivers have no idea what temperature to set for heating and cooling?
We nearly missed our bus because the women in the ticket office sent us to the wrong gate; twice. They sent us to the regular service instead of the Platino gate. Clearly they didn’t read my ticket properly.
When we arrived at Tapo Mexico City terminal, we were offered a taxi ride that seemed fine because there were multiple taxis under the ADO awning, where there were also multiple employees with the red ADO vests.
We discovered in transit that we were being ripped off. For a 20-minute trip, they wanted to charge us $1,500 pesos. We negotiated it down to $1,000 but when we arrived at the hotel they told us we should have been charged about $120. Why does ADO allow these criminals to work out of their terminal?
We have photos of the taxi and the driver, and we will be taking our complaint to the tourist police.

Driver was incapable of taking the best diversion around an accident. Bus WiFi was inconsistent. Trip was one-and-a-half hours longer than scheduled, only partly due to a closure on the federal highway. Bus was comfortable and restroom as clean.
