Amtrak Palm Springs Los Angeles recent customer reviews
I missed the bus as the Indian canyon pick-up busstop is non existent. I was waiting across the street at what was apparently the old stop in front of the demolished casino hotel. I tried to wave the bus down but it drove off. The amtrack ticket clearly stated casino hotel, that hotel was torn down two years ago. There is no sign where the new stop is located.

Bus: buses are an affordable and frequent option for this route, providing budget-conscious travelers with a reliable alternative. Car: driving takes approximately 2 hours, making it one of the fastest options for this route. However, navigating the heavily trafficked I-10 freeway can be stressful, especially during peak hours. Parking in Los Angeles can also add extra costs and hassle. While driving offers flexibility in timing, it’s less eco-friendly and may not provide the same level of relaxation as train or bus travel.
Flights: flying from Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the fastest way to travel, with flight times of around 1 hour. However, flights come with the added inconvenience of airport security, check-in, and transfers to and from the airports, making the total travel time comparable to that of the train. Additionally, flights are often significantly more expensive than bus or train options, particularly when factoring in baggage fees and transportation to your final destination in LA.
