How to go to Val Thorens

1 - Train

Trains are a good option if you’re coming from other parts of France or even its neighboring countries, the train might be a good option. You can take the TGV train from Paris to Moûtiers, which is located 37 km from Val Thorens and serves as the gateway to the region. You can find buses and shuttles to Val Thorens from many regional locations, including cities, airports and other resort towns. This is usually the most affordable option, so if you’re planning a ski trip that fits your budget, go for the bus. 

You can use buses from cities like Paris, Lucerne, Milan, and Torino to get to the gateway cities like Geneva and Grenoble, and from there, take a shuttle to your final destination, Val Thorens. 

4 - Car

Another option is using rideshare services like Blablacar from the surrounding cities. And sharing If money is not a problem and you’re confident in your snow-driving skills, then renting a car might be an option.
