Avanza User Reviews
Avanza receives praise for its accommodating and helpful drivers, as noted by users who appreciated their flexibility in ticketing situations. However, there are concerns about the lack of clear information during booking and at bus stations, especially affecting non-Spanish speakers. Additionally, some reviews mention discomfort due to older buses with inadequate ventilation and cleanliness issues.
The trip went according to schedule, and the buses were comfortable. HOWEVER, the requirement by the driver, that we have a paper ticket, almost caused a nervous breakdown. We booked onlone, had the booking reference number, and our passports and names, but no paper ticket (or smart phone). Only the intervention of a member of staff in the Estaccion Ronda resolved the matter and secured our return journey. Perhaps some additional training for drivers so that they look for internet bookings at the bottom of their printed list would prevent this problem.

I was asked not to carry my hand baggage (backpack) on board. Later when I got i to the bus, I noticed other people having small backapcks. There was also enough room under my seat to put it. I wa travelling with a 6 y.o. kid and I wanted to take some food and water for her. I was told thats it's not allowed to eat and drink inside the bus. Once inside, it turned out that our seats were occupied. I asked people to move but they didn't want, telling me that other people tool their place, and they didn't ask these other people to move.

There was nothing we enjoyed about this service except that it did what it said and transported us from Valencia to Madrid. We understand that Avanza must have subcontracted other company's buses to cover the extra demand caused by the loss of a train option, but to charge the same fare for a substantially inferior bus was a disgrace. While we watched one group drive off in an Avanza bus with comfortable seats and personal entertainment screens, we were jammed onto what was little better than a glorified school bus for 5 hours.

Everything was fine except that the driver was driving aggressively, like all bus drivers in Spain. They should all consider that there are humans onboard, not palets with merchandise

The bus was very comfortable, with a stop mid-way to use bathrooms and grab a snack. Efficient and pleasant way to travel.

Llegamos una media hora tarde. El cambio de conductor en Navalmoral se demoró. En vez de salir a las 19:00 salió a las 19:15
