Adirondack Trailways User Reviews
Adirondack Trailways receives praise for its smooth and efficient rides, with comfortable and clean seats. The drivers are often noted as being good and caring. However, some users mention issues such as limited legroom, loud speakers on board, intense air conditioning during cooler weather, disorganization at transfer points in Albany and NYC, which can affect the overall experience.
As usual, it was a smooth overnight ride with a rather quick border passing and early arrival in New York. Driver was a bit late with announcements at the start, but we were checked in well and he was a bit overwhelmed because of a later bus that had been cancelled (with extra passengers). He was an excellent driver who drove well and safely, and announced times with stops most clearly. My only complaint: grabbing my suitcase from the luggage bin at Port Authority, I took a hard and bloody fall: there was a ramp next to the bus I did not see. At such an early, sleepy arrival, a loud "watch your step!" addressed to exiting passengers would have saved me from almost also breaking bones…

The drive itself was fine. The driver was good. The disorganization of the process both in NYC and Albany was so bad that I decided to disembark at the non-station rather than wait an indeterminate time to go to the Amtrak station where I had planned to be picked up by my friend. The process is always improved by communication, which was seriously lacking. It was not the drivers fault, but she did little to alleviate the mis communication.

I have been using Adirondack Trailways for several years now and was my first choice in transport. The drivers are always super friendly compared to the competition. But on this trip I noticed that the chairs were replaced. Head, neck support was poor, and being 6 foot 2 in height, the chairs were squeezed closer. Good thing I was sitting alone, as I could not close my legs and would have invaded my neighbours space. Behind me, i could feel the other passenger knees as she moved around. On an eight hour ride. Not comfortable
