I am dissatisfied with Intercape. We were meant to leave at 18:30 but ended up leaving at 21:00 due to mechanical issues on the bus. The bus was apparently faulty, and we ended up changing buses. Such an inconvenience , I absolutely regret choosing Intercape

The bus was punctual, friendly drivers and we appreciated that the driver stops every 2 hours as they didn't have inside toilets but they still made it in time as per the estimated arrival time. The bus was very warm and lights were switched off at night to allow passengers to rest. Keep up on the service and improve where it's necessary.

Very terrible service. Booked a bus for 16.30 since I was gonna go to work the next morning when I arrive at my destination. The bus arrived 3 hours later so we ended up leaving Johannesburg at 19.00 and throughout the whole waiting period none of the staff members updated us about what was going on to cause such a delay

However, some reviews mentioned issues such as unpleasant toilet odors on board or late arrivals affecting their experience slightly. Overall satisfaction remains high among travelers who value comfort and service quality.
My air conditioner was open and I could not close it. My seat in particular felt like a furnace because of it. Moreover, the bus kept stopping to do repairs every 20 mins or so for most of the trip. Something I’ve never seen anywhere. I’m not using Grey Hound again

Disastrous. I was denied access to a service I paid for, treated with hostility by unidentifiable staff, and left stranded at Park Station despite arriving well before departure. The company’s failure to provide clear boarding instructions, visible staff, or timely support caused unnecessary emotional, logistical, and financial distress. I didn’t enjoy being misdirected from queue to queue for nearly an hour with no signage, no guidance, and no visible Greyhound representatives. I didn’t enjoy being spoken to with sarcasm and aggression by a manager who refused to help — and who was not in uniform. I didn’t enjoy being falsely labelled “rude” to justify denying me a seat on a bus that still had space. I didn’t enjoy being refused assistance at the ticket office, nor the attempt to have me removed by security after calmly asking for help. I didn’t enjoy waiting on hold and being disconnected by your call centre. I didn’t enjoy being told to “send an email and wait” when I had already been abandoned.
According to user feedback, the bus service was generally clean and comfortable. However, there were concerns about communication regarding changes in travel arrangements and some reports of rude behavior from staff members. Additionally, issues with delays and safety due to speeding drivers were noted by several users.
The bus had no heater in this cold weather the entire trip. It was 2 hours late & it was so unclean. At some point the bus driver stopped for us to pee on the freeway, refusing to make a stop at a garage.

the driver was speeding through the rain, drivers are very negligent while carrying people's lives. The number of accidents on the road can be reduced if only drivers could care more about passengers .

I missed the bus. I arrived early around 6pm for a departure time of 7pm and was seated at the 1st and 2nd gate. There were so signs, the screens were fighting commercials and no useful information. The people working at the gates only spoke Zulu and were shouting orders that were barely audible. Very bad experience all around. Ill stick to planes.
